Scottsdale Photography Locations

Scottsdale is a phenomonal place to take pictures at, especially if you're wanting that extra pop of color in your photo. Known for location and what there is to do, Scottsdale holds many hidden gems to take photos at. If you're looking for that vintage look or even a place to take a photo to spice up your Instagram, then check out the locations below.

The Spots

Papago Park

Located along N Galvin Pkwy, Papago Park is a unique location to shoot at that has a desert vibe, but is a little different. Within the park are moutains that look almost like giant ant hills (in my opinion), but they give an out of this world feel to the image as there really isn't anything truly like them. The park also features a pond as well to give an oasis vibe similar to the Riperian in Gilbert. This spot is a must for when you want desert, but different.

Old Town

Old Town Scottsdale along Scottsdale Rd. is one of my favorite plaes to hangout and take photos at. One of my top recommendations in the area would be the Sugar Bowl, an all pink 50's diner full of history. If you walk around Old Town, you are destined to find western inspired storefronts that make a great backdrop for photos as well. A little East of Old Town is the Saguaro Hotel, which has bright colorful walls and accents that make any photo Instagram worthy. (Image of myself at The Saguaro taken by my cousin pictured right)

Botanical Gardens

A little south of Papago Park sits the Desert Botanical Gardens. Along N Galvin Pkwy as well, this desert rich landscape is jaw dropping gorgeous with colors popping amongst the sea of desert green. They also feature a few of the works by artist Chihuly, whose glass blown scuptures give this location an extra something. This location is great for nearly any kind of photo, as it provides a perfect backdrop, especially at sunset.
