Mesa Photography Locations

Mesa is one of the most plentiful locations of photography locations, and it happens to be one of my favorite places to go when doing a desert style shoot. One big factor into all the fun spots to shoot here is the salt river actually, as it brings beautiful vegetation and color to any photo taken in the area. Below are all my favorite and go to spots in the city of Mesa when doing photography.

The Spots

Mesa Performing Arts Center

Located in the heart of downtown Mesa on Main St., the center for performing arts is a great place to take portraits. With fun desert plants planted in colorful planters and places, this place doesn't disappoint. There is also a cool water feature flowing through parts of the property, as well as a glass cube stair case, this place is great for portraits that will stand out.

Granite Reef

One of my absoulute favorite spots ever to shoot at, Granite Reef is located on N Bush Highway a little North of the typical suburbs of Mesa. This spot stands as one of my favorites because of all the different nature landscapes that can been seen there. From a cluster of dark- wood trees to moutain side views to even seeing Red Mountain across the Salt River. If you're looking for a place to capture the true beauty of this state, this is it (Pictured to the right, via my senior photos done by my friend Sydney)

Lower Salt River

Located near Granite Reef, the Lower Salt River is also along N Bush Highway, but considered a general area. I included this location because once you drive by Granite Reef you enter the Lower Salt River area and it is goregous for desert images. If you're looking for the true adventure spirit in the picture, I highly recommend this route and pulling off wherever you feel the need to, because no matter where you pull off you are almost guarenteed a beautiful image.
